The MOFA attestation procedure in Pakistan is as follows.
For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs verification in Pakistan, they put a bar code sticker on the document. This sticker is put on the original document. Any bar code scanner app on your mobile can scan the bar code on this sticker. When you scan the bar code, the mobile will open your document. Pakistan has now digitized the MOFA procedure, and they fix a digital barcode on the document.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has now authorized courier companies like TCS, Leopard Courier, and Gerry’s office to submit documents for attestation at the MOFA office in Pakistan. The courier service does not provide same-day attestation of documents.
The MOFA office in Pakistan does not attest documents from scratch. Before attestation of the documents, the MOFA office requires pre-attestation of these documents from different departments. The pre-attestation requirements of the MOFA office in Pakistan are different for different documents.
ATTESTATION OF EDUCATIONAL DEGREES: The educational degree should first be attested by the relevant educational boards prior to its submission to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan. Matric and Intermediate certificates and result cards need to be attested by the IBCC and should have a proper seal and QR code. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and result cards should first be attested by the HEC prior to attestation by the MOFA office.
ATTESTATION OF MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE CERTIFICATE FROM MOFA: The marriage and divorce certificates in Pakistan should, prior to attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan, be attested by the relevant local body government, which includes the Union Council, Cantonment Board, Union Committee, Municipal Committee, etc.
ATTESTATION OF UNMARRIED CERTIFICATE FROM MOFA: The unmarried certificate in Pakistan should first be attested by the local body government, which includes the Union Council, Cantonment Board, Union Committee, Municipal Committee, etc., and by the Nikah Khawan of the area before it is submitted to the MOFA office.
ATTESTATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY FROM ABROAD: The Power of Attorney received from abroad should first be attested by the Pakistani Embassy or Consulate of the country from where the Power of Attorney is sent.
ATTESTATION OF POWER OF ATTORNEY FROM PAKISTAN: The Power of Attorney originating in Pakistan should first be attested by the Sub-Registrar or Civil Judge.
ATTESTATION OF CHARACTER CERTIFICATE FROM FOREIGN AFFAIRS: For the attestation of a character certificate by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan, it should first be attested by the Police Khidmat Markaz or by the relevant DPO.
ATTESTATION OF COMMERCIAL DOCUMENTS: Commercial documents should first be attested by the Chamber of Commerce prior to attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan.
